About Us

Hello and welcome! I am Bindu, Your Garden Bee! I have an Engineering Degree in Computer Science and I am a Certified Garden Consultant. With over a decade of experience growing vegetables, herbs, and fruits right here in the Pacific Northwest, my mission is to help you create an eco-friendly garden that’s beautiful, bountiful, and most importantly, manageable —no matter how much space you have. Having seen firsthand how rewarding and enjoyable edible gardening can be, I would love to share that with you!
Our journey toward healthy eating started long before I embarked on any serious gardening. With a child with food allergies, reading food labels had become second nature to us. A chance encounter of Michael Pollan’s “The Omnivore’s Dilemma” opened my eyes to the possibility of growing healthier and fresher food at home. What I learnt about the different farming practices and processed food led me to farmers markets for fresh food and eventually to a Community Supported Agriculture.
That was 15 years ago!
Since then I have designed all my vegetable gardens. Today, we have a 2400 sqft vegetable garden with a critter fence and a grow light setup for starting seedlings indoors. Now we enjoy home-grown produce all year-round!
For me, sharing that joy with all of you is nothing short of magical!
You can embark on this journey too, without needing a decade of learning, with just a little help from us!
